The Spanish master Andres Segovia was one of the great masters of the guitar. Self-taught, he took the guitar to new heights of technical mastery in countless concerts and toured almost every country in the world. With his vast number of transcriptions and editions Segovia created an extensive repertoire of classic and modern guitar music, thus laying the foundation for the renaissance of the guitar in the 20th Century. In particular, he succeeded in inspiring a new generation of contemporary guitar composers. This collection contains the finest pieces from his repertoire, with which he has earned his instrument such great respect.
