With the holidays over and the town recovered from the power outage, dog-mom and amateur sleuth, Eve, is determined to eke out whatever enjoyment she can from the cold weather; hot coffee, hiking in the snow with her dogs… and ice-skating dates with Aidan.

Their budding relationship seems to be going well, but when they discover a body in a pond on Sophia’s property, they put romance on the back burner to solve the crime.

With an airtight alibi, Sophia isn’t a suspect, but anyone who boards their horse on her property or rides there is.
