Riley and her best friend Ashlyn decide to go out for a night on the town. Slightly buzzed and grinning from ear to ear, they leave the club to wait for their ride home. From there, it's all a big blur. One thing Riley knows for sure is that it definitely goes pear-shaped and fast.
One minute they're on the sidewalk joking around, and the next . . . they're in the air. As in grabbed from above by God knows what. The creatures are huge, silent, and fast. Oh, and they can fly. Fly!
Riley screams, but the g-forces have her passing out in seconds. What the hell? They wake up in a cave with monsters, walking deeper and deeper to God knows where. By some miracle, she escapes, but these things still have Ashlyn. They still have her best friend! If only she knew who or what they were.
Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire. She's hiking back to civilization when a huge dragon swoops down. Yes, a dragon. It changes into a human. As it turns out, dragon shifters are real. Is this one of those creatures who abducted them in the first place? Is he here to take her back? The big, naked guy keeps insisting he's trying to help her. Riley is not convinced. Not even close!
