Over dit boek

Return from exile. Rebuild the Temple. Renew the covenant. The Book of Ezra in the majestic King James Version traces God’s people as they journey home from Babylon, face fierce local opposition, and, under Zerubbabel’s leadership, complete and dedicate the Second Temple. Decades later, the priest-scribe Ezra arrives with royal authority to restore the heart of the community—opening the Law of Moses, calling the people to repentance, and leading sweeping reforms that re-center worship and daily life on God’s covenant. Narrated with clarity and reverence by ROGER ARNOLD, this audiobook brings the poetry and power of the KJV to life, making its memorable scenes—the decree of Cyrus, the laying of the foundation, the joyful dedication, and the earnest public reading of Scripture—vivid and moving. Ideal for devotional listening, personal study, and group reflection, Ezra offers a timeless portrait of perseverance, purity, and hope as a scattered people become a worshiping community once again.
