The book, I love. Twists and suspence; all great! I didn't like the way some things were done in this audio version, though. Although it is done in a fun way, not just reading the words, but actually telling the story, with different voices etc., it is difficult to hear what's being said multiple times. Clanging of dishes (I understand the sentiment), therefore impossible to hear what's being said. And different volumes for different voices, and I don't mean while they are whispering or shouting. It's taking away from the story when you have to adjust the volume all the time or have to go back because it wasn't loud enough to hear. But the absolute worst thing was to adjust the voice of the teacher; it was incomprehensible what was being said. Which is ok if that's the intention, but it wasn't. I had to find the book to be able to figure out what was being said, otherwise it would just have been missed; that can't be the goal of the book/writer/audio, especially if it's written out in the book itself. Other than that, I enjoyed the story and would recommend reading/listening to it.

Infantile. The first book was not so obviously ranting hysterical teenage material
