When a friend asks Charity Styles to help with a desperate and very personal rescue mission, she expects danger—but she doesn’t expect to come face to face with a discarded lover from her past, now the head of a ruthless cartel, and who has kidnapped DJ Martin’s son, thrusting Charity into a relentless chase above and below the waters of the storm-battered Mexican coast. Although she agreed to help, she expected an open partnership, not a constant web of lies and deceit.
As gunmen close in and treachery multiplies, Charity faces a gauntlet of assassins, explosions, and ambushes at every turn. But the biggest threat may come from DJ himself, whose secrets and betrayals keep mounting as time runs out.
With the fate of an innocent boy at stake, as well as her own survival, Charity must outsmart lethal enemies and trust her instincts before the kidnappers’ doomsday clock hits zero.
In this high-stakes race against time, Charity Styles will risk everything to keep her promise to a friend and complete her mission.
For Charity, failure is never an option.
