Tantraloka in English rhyme

O Sage of Kashmir, timeless flame,

Abhinavagupta, hallowed name;

You wove the stars in Sanskrit thread,

Where light and silence softly wed.

From Shiva’s gaze to Shakti’s dance,

You mapped the soul’s divine expanse;

No dual veil could cloud your sight,

You penned the path to purest Light.

Tantraloka, your gift sublime,

Unfolds the truth beyond all time;

Not rites alone, nor dogma’s chain,

But Consciousness, unbound by frame.

Each verse a mirror, deep and clear,

Where sleeping gods in us appear;

Each shloka sings the silent lore

Of Self as All, and nothing more.
