Then one day, Linus is summoned by Extremely Upper Management and given a highly classified assignment. He must travel to an orphanage where six dangerous children reside – including the Antichrist.

At the orphanage, Linus must somehow determine if they could bring about the end of days. But their guardian, the charming and enigmatic Arthur Parnassus, will do anything to protect his wards. And, as Arthur and Linus grow ever closer, Linus must choose: his duty, or his dreams . . .

This book! I don’t read the back flap so I was quite superpised. Loved the development of the characters. This book is just too precious! If you’re in doubt; read it!

Heel erg leuk. Wel moeilijk in categorie te plaatsen. Het voelt als een kinderboek maar de hoofdpersoon is een 40-jarige man.

I have never had such a fuzzy feeling after a fantasy book. It is truly wholesome, but fantastical. I love the world-building and characters! The topics are very realistic, while having to do with fantasy creatures. It reminded me of a Dutch children’s book called ‘de club van lelijke kinderen’. I also love that the lgbtqia+ details are not a big deal, it fits right with the story and is so sweet! This book deserves every star!
