Decades after the supernova of Betelgeuse, remnants of a strange ribbon of light - known as the Anomaly - are visible in the sky.

Robert Emerson is not a person anyone would easily like. He has some questionable opinions, and is out to demonstrate his anger on to the world.

But it turns out the world needs him. As the supernova occurred, something strange happened to our universe, and soon Robert is dragged to the middle of mystery of galactic proportions.
