audioboek

Unleashed, the romantic, high-stakes sequel to New York Times bestselling author Sophie Jordan's Uninvited, is perfect for fans of such favorites as James Patterson's Confessions of a Murder Suspect.

Davy has spent the last few months trying to come to terms with the fact that she tested positive for the kill gene HTS (also known as Homicidal Tendency Syndrome). She swore she would not let it change her, and that her DNA did not define her . . . but then she killed a man.

Now on the run, Davy must decide whether she'll be ruled by the kill gene, or if she'll follow her heart and fight for her right to live free. But with her own potential for violence laying right beneath the surface, Davy doesn't even know if she can trust herself.

🤬😵😤🙄WORST BOOK EVER! It's an absolute disgrace to the first book. I cannot believe the author trashed her series. The first book was perfect. It was an original dystopian suspense thriller with a slow-burn romance theme that has you rooting for the could-be couple and celebrating when they finally admit their love for each other when the world tries to keep them apart. Due to “the killing gene” in their blood, society treats them as apathetic monsters who are unable to love and are slowly exterminated. It's a great book that dives deep into prejudice and preconceptions. This book picks up from the end, and KAPOW destroys the premise and starts anew. I felt like this was a Nacy drew novel where every novel has a different plot, love interest, characters, and storyline except for Nancy. Ok, ok, not even Nancy Drew's books differ that much, but guess what? This book does. You got the protagonist reverting to a stuffy bitch who makes poor decisions when you thought she grew up just a tad due to the many obstacles the first book threw at her but nope. Then all the main characters go bye-bye. She meets the resistance in the desert after getting separated from her friends. The badass, swoon-worthy 20-something-year-old tattoo-riddled bad biker babe falls head over heels for her as soon as their eyes lock in a passionate gaze, which, after she drops, he won't quit criticizing her for “not being honest to herself for being in love with him.” I don't know what the author was thinking. You have this 17-year-old immature, attention-seeking little girl who completely disregards everything she's gone through as an individual badass and instead focuses on whether she can succumb to her feelings for this adult man due to the trauma she endured. LMAO! Read the first book and that is it! Please save yourself from this piece of garbage! One of the worst books ever! 🤢🤮🤮
