I had high hopes for 'A Touch of Ruin' after diving into the enchanting world of Greek mythology in its predecessor. But what happened here? Let's talk about Persephone. Now, in the first book, she was a bit of a handful, but hey, we could roll with it. But in this sequel, she's become downright insufferable. Moody, insecure, and quick to jump to conclusions, she's lost much of the charm she had before. And her relationship with Hades? Well, let's just say it's not the stuff of epic romance. And speaking of the plot, what even was that? It felt like the story was all over the place. Subplots appeared and disappeared with little cohesion, leaving me feeling lost in a sea of loose ends. And the constant barrage of steamy scenes? It felt more like I stumbled into an erotica novel by mistake. 'A Touch of Ruin' was like a glittering mirage promising an oasis in the desert, but when you get there, all you find is sand. Sadly, 'A Touch of Ruin' failed to deliver on its promise of an engaging continuation of the series, leaving me disappointed and unsure if I want to continue on this journey.
