Conscious Movements

Mindfulness meditation is not limited to so-called 'formal' practices where you sit or lie down in an immobile position. There are many meditations in movement, such as walking with mindfulness, or very simple and gentle physical exercises without any difficulty. They come from disciplines like yoga, tai chi, or qigong, for example.

We don't need to be athletic to practice them; they are very accessible. Let's keep in mind that our bodies are all different, and sometimes we may be restricted in our movements, whether it's due to an accident, stiffness, or any other reason. In this case, one instruction prevails: we respect our limits, we don't force ourselves, and it is entirely possible to follow the exercise by imagining the movements.

These exercises train us to slow down and return to our bodies, to our body, to the sensations in our body. This helps us calm the mind, become aware of our automatic behaviors, and feel more free. And thus, progressively, find or rediscover serenity and perhaps the pleasure of simply being in relation with what we experience."

Si vous souhaitez une légère modification pour améliorer la fluidité, voici une version ajustée :

"Mindfulness meditation isn't just about formal practices where you sit or lie down in a stationary position. There are many meditations that involve movement, such as mindful walking, or simple and gentle physical exercises that are easy to do. These exercises come from disciplines like yoga, tai chi, or qigong.

You don't need to be athletic to practice them; they're very accessible. Remember that our bodies are all different, and sometimes we may have limited mobility due to an accident, stiffness, or other reasons. In such cases, the key is to respect your limits and not force yourself. You can still follow the exercise by imagining the movements.

These exercises help us slow down and reconnect with our bodies, focusing on the sensations within. This calms the mind, helps us become aware of our habits, and makes us feel more liberated. Gradually, you can find or rediscover serenity and perhaps enjoy simply being present with your experiences.
