Norske roms skjebne før og under den annen verdenskrig er en av de hvite flekkene i norsk historie. Men det er en like rystende som skamfull historie. I 1927 vedtok stortinget den såkalte "sigøynerparagrafen", som eksplisitt nektet folkegruppen adgang til riket, uavhengig om de hadde norsk statsborgerskap eller ikke. Med bakgrunn i dette ble 66 norske rom overført til Auschwitz, og bare 4 overlevde.
