It speaks of Pashu (the soul, bound tight), And Pati (the Lord, who is pure light).
To break the chain, the thread of pain, And rise to Shiva's blissful domain.
The path is strict, with rites unique, The ascetic's life, humble and meek.
With ash upon the body smeared, The fear of worldly things is cleared.
Through yoga practice, focused, high, To see the Lord with inner eye.
So learn the Sutra, keen and true, The love of Shiva shining through.
