<p>I «Rosa» (1908) videreføres handlingen fra «Benoni». Med et par unntak er også persongalleriet identisk. Den omstreifende og kunstmalende student Parelius - som forelsker seg i Rosa - er én av de nye. Samtidig er han bokens jeg-forteller. En annen er Edvarda (fra «Pan») som gjør sin gjeninntreden i forfatterskapet i en forholdsvis sentral rolle.
