Deep in the forest stands a cottage. A witch once lived there, or so they say.
Hazel and her daughter Lily move to Blackmoss Cottage to escape a recent tragedy. At first the house feels like the perfect place to rebuild their lives. But appearances can be deceptive. In the surrounding villages, old superstitions still thrive. People whisper of covens gathering beneath the moonlit trees, and hang sprigs of rowan in their windows to ward off the Witch of Blackmoss Cottage.
Hazel and Lily carry secrets of their own, shadows from the past that refuse to stay buried. And on the hill above the cottage rises the Crow Tree, where a witch was once burned alive.
Lily doesn’t believe in magic, yet like the crows that circle its twisted branches, she is drawn to the tree. Locals say something lives inside its hollow trunk. What if the tales are true? What if the tree holds the key to her family’s darkest secret?
