Once lived a boy who served a rich man for three years. The boy decided to leave service and asked his master to give him what he had earned. Unfortunately he got only three farthings, a farthing per year. He wandered the woods where he stumbled upon a dwarf. He made a deal with it. He gave the dwarf his three coins and the dwarf gave him in return a magical fiddle which would make everyone dance. Later the boy met a Jew and decided to try the fiddle. He made the Jew dance although he was standing near thorn bushes. The Jew could not deny. The fiddle was magical after all.
