With the Forest of Drakes behind him, Danny sets his sights on the frozen heights of The Ice Fang Mountains and the ether pool he suspects lies hidden somewhere beneath them.
Instead he finds another elf-blood facility, this one fully functional and staffed by survivors of the elf-blood’s empire. The facility, a prison for their worst criminals, draws power from the ether pool.
If Danny destroys the pool, he risks freeing some very bad people.
From the looks of things, the hard decision Marlina warned him about has arrived far sooner than he would’ve liked.
