The Ramayana is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of the ancient Vedas of India, the other being the Mahābhārata. The great epic, traditionally ascribed to Valmiki, narrates the life of Lord Rama, the legendary prince of the Kosala Kingdom. A spiritual giant in yogic devotional literature.
