This just made me so sad, well disappointing anyway. I loved the set up- who doesn’t love fun and feisty bff/roomies to fwb’s to hea book?! Loved the characters and the quick, fun and snappy dialogue and the MCs original relationship. The writing is smooth and just perfect for a light and breezy read. There are crumbs and indicators of what’s to come. We get time to get to know everyone involved. The stream creeps in to their relationship in a natural and organic way. Even the switch from BFFs to BFFWBs works out in line with the character’s development and everything is on point… AND THEN everything just slides into a sad and sorry pile of SH*T! -Sorry, but yeah. All was great and the banter-y and quirky so WHY did it all have to go so wrong. The typical “complication/break-up/whatever” could have easily been done in a more original way, more in line with the rest of the story. THAT would have been such a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. Ugh.
