Ecclesiastes tells of the emptiness of trying to be happy apart from God. It tells of all that “The Preacher” saw “under the sun,” what he said in his heart, and his conclusion. The themes include mortality, time, folly, foolishness, suffering, wisdom and knowledge. The message of Ecclesiastes is that man's goodness are all vanity; the only way to find meaning in this life we live under the sun is to, “Fear God, and keep his commandments.” It is read from the King James Version by Mel Jackson.
