Walter Isaacson’s biography of Elon Musk offers the most intimate, complete and revelatory portrait of the most fascinating and controversial innovator in the world.
For two years, Isaacson had unprecedented access to Musk, his workplaces, his family, friends, coworkers and adversaries – nothing was off-limits.
Musk’s journey from humble beginnings to one of the wealthiest people on the planet is a thrilling, mind-bending story and nobody could tell it better. Filled with amazing tales of triumph and turmoil, and lessons about leadership and business, it ultimately addresses the question everyone wants to ask: why is Elon Musk so successful?

Ointressant memoar om en man som tycker allt för högt om sig själv.

I read this last year. A big book, often overly long and a lot about his childhood. But THEN I started reading 'The Founders' (about the creation of PayPal.) And I learned soooo much detail about Elon's early years as tech entrepreneur (example, starting Zip2 with his brother and then receiving a literal check in his mailbox for 20 million, and he marveled how strange it was a piece of paper and not a transfer, and his bank account went from 5000 to 20 million + 5000) that I felt: "why am I only hearing this for this first time?". So coming back to this book, I feel like - as thick as it is - there has been a lot of omission. So belatedly feel cheated by this book. Pro tip: read The Founders first, THEN this book for a fuller picture
