Classic romcom meet cute between a Bad Boy Billionaire CEO with a unique edge and backstory and an domestic abuse survivor not a year out of her own private hell but starting to regain her joy for life in finding a passion for floral communication and her own identity as an emissary of the tongue tied. This isn’t one of the best of its kind -partly due to the overwhelming amount of trope cliches linked to ALL tropes applicable- but it’s far from the worst either. As an audiobook I’d enjoyed it even more with a different male narrator though. Alexander Cendese has a tendency to read every sentence as if it ends in at least one exclamation mark. His uniquely enthusiastic snark works for some characters but not all, and unfortunately, this was a case of the latter.
