It was nice to be back on huckleberry hill again. We didn't get that much screen time with the actual main couple, the story focused more on the relationship between the FMC and the MMCs son and the unconditional love towards a child, which was very sweet. Vernin is probably the most dislikeable character I've read about, but at the same time I feel kinda bad for him. For some reason I wish we would get to read his story where he finally finds love, but he would need to go through some major character development before anyone would even consider marrying him.
