A rather different view of the Holocaust, one I wasn’t familiar with beforehand, I appreciate the author’s (the way I perceive it) British humour, even though I reckon the author was born, and stayed in Guernsey his whole life, except for his formative years when the Nazis was in power and caused Guernseys (perhaps its the same for all of the islanders who belongs to Britain?) population really severe harm & other hardships which all are described by the author in this in my opinion unique and very interesting book. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and the narration was excellent! Regards, Grace 🩰
