Reed Lawson was a man I had no business crossing paths with. He was Boston's most eligible billionaire. Rich and sexy, with a tortured soul every woman wanted to save. The empire he'd created, he had built from the ground up. I was simply a girl who worked in a library. And when I was younger, a few risky choices cost me everything. But now I was content in my safe, secure routine. We were two different people. Living two different lives. His past was pushing him forward. Mine was holding me back. Yet, we somehow managed to meet at the perfect moment in time. On my wedding day.

A beautiful love story about tow people, emotionally abused and traumatized by there families, but that still manage to soar apart and together. I just love how they support each other and how mature they are in their interactions with one another. They work through their shit in a delightful way without ever taking it out on the other with unnecessary drama and over reactions to imagines slights. Relationship goals tight there. The MMC is so yummy and a real dreamboat, the MFC a wonderful mix och sweetness and strength and she is so relatable cos in her perfection she is still making mistakes but owns up to them. Even though the book is a shorter story just under six hours it’s a lot of book. It’s well written and the story doesn’t feel at all chopped up or lacking which shoes great writing skills on the authors part. The narration is really good too. I feel the female narrator as a bit to dramatic and br3athy, not annoyingly so but still made me react. Male narrator is really good and I like his voice. Except for him doing female side characters in some parts where it got a bit overly whiny. Happens real sparsely though and the quality of the book itself makes up for these small flaws which still makes this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ one in my opinion. Absolutely recommend,

Sweet and heartwarming, with a few hot n spicy moments between these soulmates. I was truly happy to read one of these WITHOUT that nagging self deprecating “she’s too good for me” or “I’m not worthy…” bull crap. Nor do we have to suffer through an angsty and time wasting breakup just to wrench some extra feels out of the final few chapters. So thanks for that! After listening to a few of Addison Janes audiobooks I was sad to realise this one had a completely different narrator whom I just couldn’t connect with the MMC he was portraying. I seldom feel I’d rather had read the book instead of listening - because there ARE so many really good ones out there.
