Om den här boken

Ancient objects, forgotten places, and ordinary discoveries can sometimes reveal something far more unsettling.

Enter the eerie world of M. R. James in A Thin Ghost and Others, a classic collection of supernatural tales filled with scholarly mysteries, haunted objects, and unexplained encounters.

James places ordinary scholars, travelers, collectors, and academics in situations where seemingly harmless discoveries lead to disturbing consequences. Ancient manuscripts, artifacts, buildings, and forgotten histories become gateways to something mysterious and often terrifying.

Rather than relying on constant shock, James creates suspense through atmosphere, suggestion, and the gradual revelation of things that should perhaps have remained hidden.

First published in 1919, A Thin Ghost and Others showcases the distinctive style that made M. R. James one of the most influential writers of English ghost stories.

Discover the quiet dread and supernatural mysteries lurking beneath the ordinary in M. R. James's A Thin Ghost and Others.
