In the middle of a worldwide apocalypse that is slowly killing everything, Allison Mason has found a little piece of Heaven. The United Nations funded research facility UNIFED. Here there is food, shelter, and even electricity. And on the top floor of the subterranean facility, there are genetically altered plants meant to grow in any environment and feed the world.
Little did they know that they would need them now.
Allison is going to help the researchers go back up to the surface to plant the seeds of the Charity trees inside New York City's Central Park. Armed with rifles and shotguns, they brave the cannibals and their own fears to take the first step towards healing a devastated Earth.
Not all of them will make it back to the safety of UNIFED. And those who do, may wish they hadn't.
