Harrow the Ninth, the sequel to the sensational, USA Today bestselling novel Gideon the Ninth, turns a
galaxy inside out as one necromancer struggles to survive the wreckage of herself aboard the Emperor’s haunted
space station.
Harrowhark Nonagesimus, last necromancer of the Ninth House, has been drafted by her Emperor to fight an
unwinnable war. Side by side with a detested rival, Harrow must perfect her skills and become an angel of undeath—
but her health is failing, her sword makes her nauseous, and even her mind is threatening to betray her.
Sealed in the gothic gloom of the Emperor’s Mithraeum with three unfriendly teachers, hunted by the mad ghost
of a murdered planet, Harrow must confront two unwelcome questions: Is somebody trying to kill her? And if they
succeeded, would the universe be better off?

Out of the 4 people I know to have read this, me included, about 3 hours in we went back, relistened to some or all of the first book, then started this one again. What a fucking masterpiece of a narrative. Infinitely re-readable and more so re-listenable due to the characters Moira brings to life with her narration. This book is a frustrating mess for casual listeners and an absolute treasure trove for fans of unreliable narration. Bless this book, bless Tamsyn, bless Moira. READ THIS BOOK SERIES!

Jag gillar inte att bli förvirrad av böcker. Slutet var bra men jag fick tvinga mig själv att lyssna på boken. Kommer ändå lyssna på nästa bok och hoppas på mer svar.

It’s awful to listen to it at work because it keeps making me want to cry and laugh and sigh and clutch my chest. I love this book and the reading.
