Like in other works by Mrs. Alexander the subject line is developed around the love story and a fate of a young girl stuck in an eternal triangle between family obligations, money, and passion. It is an interesting read to the fans of the Victorian-era novels allowing you to get completely absorbed into the air of the epoch.
