Modern Piano Miniatures is a collection of short lyrical piano pieces written for early- intermediate pianists and amateur players.
The works are conceived as expressive miniatures, combining a contemporary harmonic language with clear and accessible pianistic writing. Each piece explores a specific atmosphere or emotional state, offering performers a varied yet coherent musical journey.
While rooted in a modern aesthetic, some pieces draw inspiration from elements of the classical tradition, with subtle references to composers such as Bach, Schubert, Debussy, and Sor. These references are not intended as literal adaptations, but as a way of establishing a dialogue between past and present.
The collection is designed both for study and performance, providing repertoire that is musically engaging while remaining approachable for a wide range of pianists.
