The classic Miss Marple mystery read by Joan Hickson. In utter disbelief Miss Marple read the letter addressed to her from the recently deceased Mr Rafiel â an acquaintance she had met briefly on her travels. Recognising in Miss Marple a natural flair for justice, Mr Rafiel had left instructions for her to investigate a crime after his death. The only problem was, he had failed to tell her who was involved or where and when the crime had been committed. It was most intriguing.

Joan Hicksons voice tends to fluctuate in volume which in turn had me constantly changing the volume on my phone. This took away from the novel. I'm familiar with various adaptions of Nemesis but have to admit this is not my favourite Marple novel. The pacing is slow and we are treated to long inner monologues by Miss Marple. I think I'll stick with abridged versions of this particular novel.
