All right, so this one has a very different vibe from the previous books and it wasn’t something I enjoyed. If you enjoy nonconsent, maybe this is for you. Trigger warning and I guess spoiler. SA, coercion into sex, no consent sex, rape, BDSM play without consent, sex slave. I searched up the rest of the book after the first non consensual scene only to learn that it was the same for most of the rest of the book. I skipped forward to chapter 15 (because it doesn’t have any non consensual sex after that) and continue to listen, it was pretty good, but I didn’t finish the last few minutes because once again at the end, it made me feel icky.

CW: rape This story surrounds Blake and Declan, 2 alphas. They're basically 2 douchebags who finds character growth through each other. I can't say I felt the chemistry. I got highly put off by the start of their relationship and rather saw it as Stockholm syndrome, at best. I might also be disappointed in the threat not seeming to keep the red thread from the previous books.
