The War of the Worlds

A science fiction novel by British author Herbert George Wells, published in 1898. It is a plot of the invasion of the Earth by Martians equipped with advanced weapons in the late Victorian era of England and is evaluated as the first work to use the concept of space war in which aliens invade Earth.
