Bob and Karen. Ted and Alex. Four lifelong friends. Now that the kids are gone and the midlife chaos has settled, they’re free to enjoy a relaxing canal cruise through the Yorkshire countryside.
Just them, a boat, and a week to unwind. What could possibly go wrong?
Shipwrecks. Misunderstandings. Indecent proposals, ill-advised flirtations, and ego clashes. What starts with petty grievances soon spirals into something even messier. As past and present collide, secrets bubble to the surface, threatening to sink their holiday plans.
Soon, the four friends must face the uncomfortable truth about who they really are, and who they’ve become to each other.
M.W. Stevenson's TROUBLESOME WATERS is a midlife comedy of errors with bite, heart, and just enough scandal to make you rethink that next group vacation.
