Two-Step

Entertaining and charming story by a new to me author I’d happily read more from. Unfortunately this audiobook didn’t do it for me. Partly due to the ongoing narrative of a parent with rapid onset Alzheimer’s- who hits me a little to close to my own life. Another factor was the narration. Usually a fantastic narrator, Aidan Snow is a favourite of mine BUT since the MMC is a French speaking Cajun he would have needed to actually KNOW French or at least fake it enough to let a native speaker (like me) would understand what he’s saying 😣🫣 So after suffering through quite a few chapters I had to toss in the towel. DNF.
