I understand Tai better than I thought I would. It's not just pride which make him said no to Emmett's help. Most people have no idea what kind of power toxic relationship have on our poor human psyche and how much it takes to walk away. And after only a few days, you don't want to find yourself in a other relationship with a partner holding everything. Tai knows Emmett is a good guy but at that moment he needs to try to stand on his own two feet so he can prove to himself he can. I liked Emmett : he was kind and sweet but still very defensive of Tai. I love this story.

This is the first Vino Veritas I have finished, and it was due to Jay Hogan and Gary Furlong. It’s an ok book, not bad, but that’s all.
