Gathered together, the poems exhibits the main theme of real love portraying just one character throughout the end. It represents the voice of one character who claims to be in dream since the very beginning of the first poem and is often seen narrating her dreams in the poems. In few poems, it also talks about the dark places, and the horror of the hell. The story follows the same in almost all the poems wherein the poet talks about her love, death and parting. She seems to be talking about just one person who appears in all the poems since she is in a dream.
