Cyclecircus

Book series • 2 books

The second volume of the "Cyclecircus" collection familiarises us with the plight of the Bushmen people in the country of Botswana. The Kalahari Bushmen are the oldest people in Africa. For a long time they have been oppressed to such an extent that their existence as a group is under threat. The discovery of diamonds on their land accelerated the destruction of this ancestral culture. The desert sands of the Kalahari are home to Roy Sesana, Bushmen leader, winner of the "Right Livelihood Award", known as the "Alternative Nobel Prize". Roy Sesana will tell us his story, which is also that of his people. A tragic story, but when all is said ando done, one which is still very much alive and which has not yet reached its end.
