In the sunny Italian town of Messina, love and mischief abound as a group of friends spread, and come on the receiving end of, secrets and trickery. Claudio quickly falls in love with Hero, the daughter of Leonato, while Benedick engages in a war of wits with Beatrice, Leonato's niece.
