Twenty-seven-year-old Charlotte Brown is visiting the UK for the first time, and sheâs alone, much to her parentsâ dismay. Since her grandmotherâs death, sheâs come to realize how fragile life really is and how quickly itâs over. She dreams of a family of her own, and sheâs ready to take bold steps in order to change the mundane path sheâs on. In an effort to prove to herself that she can conjure bravery and have the life sheâs always wanted, she faces the bitter cold streets of London alone.
But when she meets Jake, a well-dressed, funky sock wearing American, sheâs thrown off her carefully wrought tracks. Charlotte has her whole trip planned to the hour, but her serendipitous run-in with Jake makes her wonder what else sheâs been missing. The two help each other decide whatâs more importantâa well-planned life or one thatâs chosen by their hearts.
