Set in Edwardian England, The Merry-Go-Round tells a tale of a small circle of friends and acquaintances who care too much about social convention while going through life making bad choices. In the center of the story, as a spectator of all events is Mrs. Ley, an old spinster who is a friend to all protagonists and she guides and advices them as they try to cope with their issues, struggling to achieve happiness.
