Published in 1854, this work attempted to exhibit the British system of evil and outrage, abhorrent to justice, civilization and humanity. The writer described how Britain enslaved people for its own profits. He mainly wrote about the adverse effects of the laws and institutions of Great Britain on the laborers and working class that kept making them poorer every day.
