This book includes a cross section of built and unbuilt work by the architect Gabrielle von Bernstorff.
Architecture is a public art. Buildings surround us like the air we breathe. From the simplest hut to the most lavish concert hall, architecture is about our life, it is deeply personal at the same time.
Architecture is poetry, as Gaston Bachelard says, we must invent that which we want to find.
Architecture is also a communal project, buildings are made by hundreds if not thousands of people involved. In that sense too, architecture is a public art.
Architecture can make us happy and it can make us sad. Lets hope the reader will be touched by this work.
