This is a book of letters between a soldier, RIP, and his family and friends during the wars with Iraq, first with President George H. W. Bush, then with George W. Bush - the âBush Warsâ.
When RIP first deployed for Desert Storm, his baby daughter, Vicky, was three months old. RIP wrote heartfelt letters to her for posterity, not knowing if heâd get to see her grow up but wanting to tell her of his hopes and dreams. She grew into a teenager before he retired, and he wrote to her about dealing with lifeâs curves.
As RIPâs involvement with the Middle East was waning, his good friend Steven joined the military. His involvement through his yearlong deployment to Iraq closes out the book.
