When the notorious Lord Tracy Belmanoir, Duke of Andover and also the infamous Black Moth, is caught attempting to abduct the dark-haired Diana Beauleigh by estranged Jack Carstares, the rightful Earl of Wyncham, he's sent scurrying after a thrilling sword fight. Stunningly outdated. Women are essentially cute but petulant children that must be brought to heel by a masterful man? Most of the story is taken up by fawning descriptions of the make lead. Not much romance, honestly, and the characters are all two dimensional caricatures. Disappointing. Also, the male narrator’s attempt at women’s voices was very cringeworthy and irritating.
