#1 The Enneagram is an ancient personality system made up of nine different personality Types. It is similar to other personality systems out there, like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or StrengthsFinder, in that it has specific Types with a list of traits and behaviors.
#2 The Enneagram is a personality test that groups people into nine different types, based on the nine points of a circle. It was developed by Oscar Ichazo, a Bolivian-born mystic, and has since been modernized by students such as Claudio Naranjo.
#3 There are nine different personality Types in the Enneagram system. Each Type has a set of common characteristics and behaviors, along with various other components that help explain how this Type approaches the world. You do not change from one Type to another.
#4 When you move toward your Security Point, you begin to let down your guard and become more open and vulnerable. You no longer are hypervigilant for who or what might hurt you. If you develop an unhealthy connection to your Security Point, you can become resentful, coercive, and manipulative to get your needs met.
