I'm a romance reader and I don't need action to be interested by a book but a character driven plot can still be more eventful than this book. Maybe we should have started to ear this story a month before, while Jaime was still in captivity ? Maybe we could have have more event or politics with the courtship ? Maybe we could have have more than one spicy scene in the last 10% of this book ? It was disappointing but I suspected it before starting it. I wanted to read it to have a bit of context going into The River Prince.

It's a sweet love story, in the midst of trauma and grief.

It had some cute moments I guess but I Can't get over this line (phrased differently in the book but with the same meaning): "The slavers hadn't r*ped him when they held him captive, so he had no real sexual experience." WTF?! No, just no. So wrong.
