I was sent to the office of a groovy guy named Mike, who asked me if I was bored in kindergarten. I convinced him that making chains out of construction paper for an entire year would be beneath me intellectually.
#4 I had always been able to fit in with people, but skipping a grade gave me the sense that I’d been given an extra year. I thought life was a massive competition to reach a certain finish line.
