But there is something innocent and endearing about her, even though she has a bizarre taste in clothes. The 10 incidents reveal how unworldly she is, but there is charm and innocence in everything she says and does. Mr Johnson, the managing director, grows to appreciate her charm, with interesting results—at the end of the book.
